Course Objective

The objective of this vocational competence qualification is to provide recognition that a candidate has demonstrated the required level of technical competence in installing and dismantling steelwork components for architectural steelwork applications—such as staircases, handrails, balustrades, and metal decking.

Entry Requirement

There are no mandatory entry requirements. However, due to the complexity of the subject matter, it is recommended that candidates have achieved at least GCSE grade “G/1” or RQF Functional Skills Level 1 or above in English (Language) and Mathematics—or can otherwise demonstrate suitable attainment or relevant experience.

Certification

Successful candidates, having met the learning outcomes across all eight mandatory units, are awarded the ECITB Level 2 Diploma in Erecting Steelwork Components.
