Meet the Team

Kieron Honeyman

Managing Director

After serving 10 years in the military during which time Kieron was heavily involved in instructional roles for infantry soldiers in the use of small arms weapons, gunnery and battle group thermal imagery. He left the forces to jump into the daunting world of Construction as a heavy plant operator gaining vast experience in operational roles on varied plant machinery and eventually moving into management. It did not take long to once again find himself in the midst of the training world working as plant training manager for a nationwide training provider before moving into the health safety world and then setting up KH Plant Training in 2014. 

David Cox

Operations Manager

David left the army on Jan 2003 where he served 23 years with his local infantry Regiment the Duke of Wellingtons. Since leaving the army He has started off as a DSA registered LGV Driving Instructor for Hargreaves training. Whilst working at Hargreaves Training, he gained several promotions and ended up as National Contracts Manager where he managed Government funded contracts for the SFA & MOD worth over £10 million. 

David then worked for Newcastle Collage starting off as Business Manager on their Work Programme contract in Leicestershire, again he had several promotions and ended up Managing the work programme covering the East of England looking after over 10, unemployed people. He also set up a outstanding provision for ESOL & gained national recognition as the best performing region across the country for Unemployed people with disabilities. 

David now works at KH Plant Training where he is our Operations Manager overseeing the daily operational delivery of all our Training and Testing across a wide range of awarding & funding bodies.

Josh Cox

Business Support, Instructor, NVq assessor

Josh came to us whilst he was still at university studying Sports coaching and physical education. Whilst with us he found a passion for teaching and plant machinery, he gained experience operating various plant machinery and different areas of construction such as Lifting and muck shifting, worked as a supporting plant operator and heavily involved in all of KH Plant Trainings construction development projects. Since then he has became a fully qualified instructor and NVQ assessor.

Outside of work Josh has a passion for rugby where he plays semi professional for Doncaster Phoenix as a tight head prop. He has recently just spent 4 years playing within a professional academy set up with Doncaster Knights Academy.

Mark Holroyd

Business Development manager

Mark has a very prestigious career within sales and even owned his own sales company at one point.

Mark is a keen advocate of delivering the highest level of service to our many clients and has a keen eye for detail.

He is a solution-based individual with a deep understanding of the varied needs for companies to have trained and qualified workers.

Mark makes a very strong point of establishing and maitaining a good robust working relationship with all our clients and training contacts.

Jodie Clark

Business Support

odie, a seasoned professional, joined KH Plant Training in June 2023, bringing a wealth of administrative experience to her role. Specializing in NPORS, in-house training, and NVQs, she serves as a key coordinator, ensuring alignment with the rigorous standards set by the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme. Jodie’s expertise extends to designing tailored in-house training programs and facilitating National Vocational Qualifications, where her meticulous approach and commitment to professional development shine through. Her dedication to fostering continuous learning makes her an invaluable asset to KH Plant Training, contributing significantly to the growth and success of individuals within the organization. For inquiries or assistance related to NPORS, in-house training, or NVQs, Jodie is readily available to provide her expertise and support.

Shannon Morley

Business support

After a fulfilling period of maternity leave, Shannon decided to embark on an exciting new chapter in her career journey. She made a deliberate choice to explore new professional avenues. With a background in recruitment and a foundation in the construction industry, she sought to redirect her career towards a fresh challenge. Shannon is eager to embrace the learning curve, collaborate with her talented colleagues, and contribute to the vibrant community that makes KH Plant Training an exceptional workplace.

Sean Atkinson

Instructor, tester, Nvq assessor

Sean is a very passionate instructor with vast experience In varied construction and agricultural roles. He has years of experience operating mobile construction plant including heavy earthmoving equipment and general lifting from slinging to overall supervision of lifting operations.

Sean is a very keen fisherman boasting some of the biggest carp ever caught (so he says/ his friend and colleague Joe disagrees strongly) he also loves spending time with his dog enjoying the outdoors.

Richard Cameron

instructor, tester, nvq assessor

Richard a former damp proofer and plasterer came into the plant world over 14 years ago after leaving the family firm to pursue an new area of construction, he quickly got to grips with the operation of all types of FLT and slinging operations before moving to work with Kieron and David for a national training provider for the delivery of plant training, he became an NVQ assessor and moved into the role of teaching new instructors which he continued for many years before joining the KH Plant Training team. 

Richard is crazy for crypto and spends his nights burning the midnight oil on this passion

Joe Twiss

Instructor, Nvq assessor

Joe came to KH Plant Training as a very experienced groundworker with years of experience in the industry for operating mobile plant and on occasion cranes for general lifting operations, his passion and determination was plainly evident and he moved into his new instructional role seamlessly under guidance of the KH Plant Training operational team, he has progressed into a fine instructor covering various items of mobile plant and general lifting operations. 

Joe is a devoted father and keen fisherman in constant competition with Sean on size of the fish

Stephen Gordon-Candy

instructor, tester, nvq assessor

Stephen concluded his 23-year tenure with the Royal Engineers in 2013, having engaged in diverse construction projects across the globe. His military service extended beyond construction to encompass a significant role in logistics, where he managed over £19 million worth of construction materials and £85 million of equipment. Stephen operated a range of construction machinery and later became a qualified instructor for military vehicles as well as construction vehicles.

Post-military career, Stephen transitioned to roles in retail logistics, contributing his expertise in different capacities. Since 2019, he has been actively involved in instructing on various health and safety courses, including first aid, driver CPC, and other related subjects.

Stephen has a new found passion for horses and helping muck out, groom and exercise them.
