Multiple-choice theory test
(25 Questions [NPORS Traditional])

Practical Test

Upon booking the course you can request NPORS CSCS route, or NPORS for the NPORS Traditional route.*

Successful candidates will obtain an NPORS ‘National Plant Operators Registration Scheme’ card on completion. Those requiring the CSCS-embossed Red Trained Operator card (2 year validity) will need to have a valid CITB HSE test; during this 2 year period candidates will need to achieve the relevant plant operations NVQ that will enable them to upgrade their Blue Competent Operator card (5 year validity).

Alternatively, candidates not holding a valid CITB HSE test will only be eligible to receive the traditional 3 year NPORS operator card (5 Year NPORS Card available on request only), however this doesn’t carry the CSCS logo and isn’t as widely recognised.

Entry Requirements

It is important that any candidates have a good understanding of spoken and written English, interpreters are available upon request for those who are not fluent in English. All candidates will need to provide their own appropriate PPE for training and testing purposes..

CITB Levy Registered

If you are registered with the CITB ‘Construction Industry Training Board’ KH Plant Training can help you claim CITB grant automatically on completion. This money is paid direct to you, we’ll simply submit the application on your behalf.

This course will consist of a large element of practical tuition. Any delegates undertaking a NOVICE 360 Material Re-Handler Course will also undertake theory training to prepare them for the multiple choice assessment.

All of our courses are taught by experts with extensive experience in this field and are designed to be enjoyable whilst ensuring that candidates acquire the knowledge and skills required in order to pass the NPORS assessment. Candidates will be issued with an NPORS operator’s card upon successful completion.

At the time of booking onto a NPORS CSCS Route Novice course all delegates will be provided with KH Plant Training’s Study Guides, we encourage all delegates to read these before attending the first day of training.

*If NPORS CSCS route isn’t specified at Booking then NPORS traditional will be the route taken.
